Footballer Carew 'tricked into trusting conman'

Premier League footballer John Carew today told a court he was “tricked” into trusting a man accused of duping him out of £200,000 (€235,000).

Birmingham Crown Court heard the Aston Villa striker paid £100,000 to Richard Esprit, 43, for a Porsche Cayenne Gemballa which he never received.
