A pair of explosions outside a government compound in Iraq’s western Anbar province has killed 17 people, Iraqi police and hospital officials said.

A pair of explosions outside a government compound in Iraq’s western Anbar province has killed 17 people, Iraqi police and hospital officials said.

The officials said at least 23 people have also been wounded in today’s blasts near the provincial council building in Ramadi, Anbar’s capital 70 miles west of Baghdad.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to brief the media.
