Obama makes surprise visit to troops in Afghanistan

US President Barack Obama has arrived in Afghanistan on a surprise visit.

But bad weather kept him on a U.S. military base and forced him to cancel a planned face-to-face meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
