Sarah Palin is the target of embarrassing newspaper headlines around the world after a painful slip of the tongue in a radio interview.

The former governor of Alaska, who is expected to run for President in 2012, referred to North Korea as America's allies.

Palin has often been criticised for a lack of foreign policy knowledge, and had to be corrected by controversial chat show host Glenn Beck.
