UK transplant op goes ahead after jet crash

A liver transplant operation put in jeopardy when a private jet carrying the donor organ crashed on a British airport runway went ahead successfully last night, a hospital said today.

The liver was on board a Cessna that crash-landed on the tarmac in foggy conditions at Birmingham Airport yesterday.
