Yacht couple freed after kidnap ordeal

A British couple held captive by Somali pirates woke up to their first day of freedom in more than a year today, as family and friends celebrated their release.

Gaunt but relieved, Paul and Rachel Chandler’s 388-day ordeal came to an end yesterday as they were whisked to safety.
