California hit by small earthquake

Long Beach and nearby areas of southern California were today shaken by a small earthquake.

The US Geological Survey said a tremor with a preliminary magnitude of 3.8 occurred at a depth of about 13 miles beneath the port city on the south Los Angeles County coast.
