Afghan militants attack UN office

A suicide attacker driving an explosives-packed car has blown up the entrance to a United Nations office in western Afghanistan, allowing at least three other militants to storm the building, officials said today.

Dan McNorton, a spokesman for the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, said an unknown number of UN employees were inside the building when it was attacked today. He had no information about casualties.
