Acropolis reopens as guards end strike

The Acropolis reopened today after a labour dispute kept thousands of visitors out of debt-ridden Greece’s most famous monument for three days.

Filing through a double line of riot police protecting the gates, tourists started entering the ancient site shortly after noon as guards ended a five-hour strike.
