A tanker was leaking jet fuel into the North Sea 20 miles (30km) off the Dutch coast after colliding with a container ship today, Dutch media reported.

News website Nu.nl said the Greek tanker had a 16ft (5m) hole close to the water line from which kerosene was leaking.

It cited a Coast Guard spokesman as saying the kerosene was evaporating quickly.

National broadcaster NOS also reported the collision, in which nobody was reported injured.
