Danube sludge a 'serious ecological disaster'

Tests are being carried out along on the River Danube as toxic red sludge from Hungary makes its way downstream.

Industrial waste from a storage facility has swept across villages in the southwestern part of the country, killing wildlife and causing homes to be evacuated.

Neighbouring countries like Croatia, Serbia and Romania are drawing up emergency plans.

Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban said the spill was a "serious ecological disaster".
