A moderate 4.6 magnitude earthquake rattled eastern Romania today, officials said.

The Romanian Institute for Earth Physics said the quake struck in the Vrancea region, some 75 miles (120km) north-east of the capital, Bucharest, where the tremor was also felt.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
