Tributes paid to 'courageous' British soldier

Tributes were paid today to a “dedicated and courageous” British soldier killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan.

Corporal Matthew Thomas, of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, died when the vehicle he was driving in was hit by an improvised explosive device in the Garmsir district of Helmand province on Saturday.
