The leaders of Israel and the Palestinians have concluded a productive first round of peace negotiations, US President Barack Obama’s special envoy for the Middle East said today.

Israeli and Palestinian leaders today agreed to keep talking and produce a framework for a permanent peace deal at their first session in two years.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will meet again on September 14 and 15 in the Middle East.
