Cheney discharged from hospital

Former Vice President Dick Cheney was released from a suburban Washington hospital following heart surgery last month.

A Cheney spokesman said in a statement that the former vice president will continue his recovery at home.

The 69-year-old Cheney was suffering from congestive heart failure and had a small pump installed to help his heart work.

He has had five heart attacks since he was 37.
