Monsoon floods bring more fears of crisis in Pakistan

There are fears of a new humanitarian crisis developing in Pakistan.

Around 1,500 people have died in monsoon flooding in the north of the country, with up to four million people displaced.

But the floodwaters are now moving south and people are being asked to consider leaving their homes in the Punjab and Sindh regions.

The Irish Aid Agency Concern is assisting the aid effort in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, David Cameron holds talks with Pakistan's president this morning, as the two leaders attempt to move on from a diplomatic spat.

The British Prime Minister provoked fury with recent claims that Pakistan's promoting the export of terror - President Zardari is expected to directly challenge him about that.
