Love Parade death toll rises to 20

The death toll from the Love Parade tragedy in Duisberg in Germany at the weekend, has risen to 20.

More than 500 people were injured when festival goers were crushed after panic broke out in a narrow tunnel that served as the only entrance to the festival ground.

Reports say local police and the fire service had expressed reservations about the unsuitability of the venue as far back as October last year.

A memorial service for the victims is to be held on Saturday.
