Seventeen killed as bus plunges on Indian mountain

At least 17 bus passengers were killed in a mountain road crash in Indian Kashmir, police said today.

Rescue workers were searching a fast-flowing river into which the bus plunged, police said.

It was not immediately clear how many passengers were on the bus when it crashed, about 190km (120 miles) south-east of Srinagar.
