Probe: Mistakes made at 'senior' level at Gaza aid boat boarding
An internal Israeli military probe has said mistakes were made at a "relatively senior" level during the planning and execution of Israel's raid on a Gaza-bound aid boat.
Nine Turkish activists died when Israeli commandos boarded the Mavi Marmara as it attempted to break the Israeli sea blockade of Gaza on May 31.
The report said mistakes were committed at all levels from top officers to commandos and the navy failed to sufficiently consider the possibility troops could encounter violent resistance during the operation.
