The body of US chess champion Bobby Fischer has been exhumed in Iceland for tests to see if he is the father of a nine-year-old girl from the Philippines.

The corpse was dug up from a cemetery near Selfoss yesterday in the presence of a doctor, a priest and the local sheriff.
