Blair warns of damage to British forces
Tony Blair was warned that Britain's commitment to the Iraq war could damage the British armed forces over the long-term.
A previously secret document has been released by the Iraq Inquiry in the UK.
The warning was written by the then British foreign secretary Jack Straw and defence secretary Geoff Hoon on the eve of the March 2003 invasion.
They told the Prime Minister the UK had to cut its force levels by two-thirds by the autumn.
