Warhol's Liz Taylor portrait sold for £6.7m

An Andy Warhol portrait of screen legend Elizabeth Taylor was sold at auction for more than £6.7m (€8.17m).

The work, Silver Liz, was created in 1963 and had not been seen in public for more than 20 years until it went on display at Christie’s in London earlier this month ahead of last night’s sale.
