Security in Afghanistan has not improved and roadside bombings soared 94% in the first four months of this year compared with the same period in 2009, the United Nations chief said today.

The findings come in a quarterly report by Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to the UN Security Council. The UN mission in Kabul released the report today.
