Police officers attacked by crowd

Two police officers in north Belfast suffered cuts and bruising to their faces and hands after being attacked by a crowd.

They were surrounded during disturbances on the Ballysillan Road this afternoon.

Two other officers were injured but did not require hospital treatment. CS spray was used by police during the incident.

Three men have been arrested.

The officers were surrounded as they spoke to three men they had stopped during a patrol.
