Oil spill cleanup bill nears $1bn

BP admitted today the clean-up bill for the Gulf of Mexico oil crisis had soared to nearly $1bn (€800m) as scientists claim the spill is now the worst in US history.

BP revealed costs so far had reached $930m (€750m) – up by $170m dollars (€136m) in the past four days alone.
