Baby hospitalised with severe sunburn

A five-month-old baby has suffered 20% burns after spending the hottest day of the year on the beach in Britain.

Police Community Support Officers intervened when they saw the boy on Brighton Seafront on Sunday afternoon as temperatures reached 25C.

The baby was taken to hospital.

Police say he was visiting the coast from London with his mother and that no arrests had been made.
