Duchess apologises for 'serious lapse in judgment'

The Duchess of York apologised for her “serious lapse in judgment” tonight and admitted her financial situation is “under stress” after a newspaper sting showed her accepting money for an introduction to her former husband.

The News of the World video showed Sarah Ferguson promising to introduce an undercover reporter posing as a wealthy businessman to the Prince, who has been the UK’s special representative for international trade and investment since 2001.
