2007 French tourist killings: Suspects go on trial

Three men believed to be linked to al-Qaida's North African branch have gone on trial in Mauritania inconnection with the 2007 killing of four French tourists.

The three suspects are accused of shooting five French tourists on Christmas Eve 2007. One of the tourists survived.
