Police among victims in Pakistan bomb blast

Police said a roadside bomb targeting a police patrol in northwestern Pakistan killed 11 people, including three police.

Mohammed Aslam said the bomb exploded as the patrol travelled through the town of Dera Ismail Khan today.

The dead included a senior police officer in the area as well as his guard and driver.

Mr Aslam, a senior police official in Dera Ismail Khan, said eight civilians were also killed by the blast, including two schoolchildren.
