Greece faces new strike

Greek unions have called a new general strike next week to protest at planned reforms to the debt-ridden country’s pension system.

The two main public and private sector groups said in a joint statement the walkout was set for May 20 – a day after Greece must repay some €9bn in expiring debt, using international rescue loans.
