Obama reiterates Afghanistan troops pledge

US President Barack Obama today reaffirmed his plans to start withdrawing US troops from Afghanistan next year, saying they “can’t be there in perpetuity”.

He also indicated that Washington will maintain efforts to get China, India and other developing countries to make further commitments to fighting global warming.
