Spectre of Katyn returns to haunt Poland

The death of Poland’s president and many elite figures in Saturday’s plane crash in Russia rekindled memories of the wartime Katyn massacre.

President Lech Kaczynski died with 96 other people, many of whom held elite roles in Polish society.
