Rain eases in flood-hit Rio

Torrential rain that brought death and chaos to Rio de Janeiro eased today.

They had caused the heaviest deluge on record, sending killer mudslides cascading down hillsides and turning streets into raging torrents in Brazil’s second-biggest city.
