Blasts derail Russian train

Two powerful explosions derailed a train today in the violence-plagued southern Russian province of Dagestan, but no one was hurt, officials said.

Transport police spokesman Akhmed Magomayev said the blasts, equivalent to five kilograms of TNT, occurred early today near the town of Izberbash.
