Peruvian officials are celebrating the reopening of the famed Inca citadel of Machu Picchu after a two-month closure caused by flooding.

Hundreds of foreign tourists entered the city following its official reopening this morning as an early downpour gave way to brilliant sunshine, vice-tourism minister Mara Seminario said.
