Earthquake strikes west of Philippines capital

An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale struck west of the Philippines capital, Manila, today, seismology experts said.

There were no reports of damage or injuries but buildings shook for about 30 seconds and frightened workers rushed out of their offices.
