Philippines capital rocked by quake

The Philippine seismology institute said a 6.2-magnitute earthquake occurred west of the capital, Manila.

There are no immediate reports of damage or casualties in the quake.

Buildings in Manila shook for about 30 seconds.

Many workers ran out of their offices.

Seismology institute Director Renato Solidum said the quake happened at a depth of 6.21 miles under the seabed.

The US Geological Survey put the magnitude at 6.1 and depth at 21 miles.
