Pope's usher embroiled in gay prostitution investigation

One of Pope Benedict's ceremonial ushers has become implicated in a gay prostitution ring.

Ghinedu Ehiem has been dismissed from the choir at St Peter's Basilica after his name appeared in transcripts of police wiretaps.

The transcripts were published by an Italian newspaper in an unrelated investigation.
