A spokesman for former US presidential nominee and Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole said he is recuperating at Walter Reed Army Medical Centre after a bout of pneumonia.

A spokesman for former US presidential nominee and Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole said he is recuperating at Walter Reed Army Medical Centre after a bout of pneumonia.

Mr Dole, 86, was admitted to the military hospital about three weeks ago with a respiratory condition, spokesman Michael Marshall said.
