Pakistan blast kills three

A blast at a busy road junction in southern Pakistan’s Sindh province killed three people and injured nine others, police and hospital officials said.

Senior local police official Ghazi Salahuddin said authorities are investigating the nature of today’s blast in Dadu city.

Hospital official Rafiq Kolachi said the three dead and nine wounded were brought to Dadu hospital from the blast site.

Pakistan has been wracked by a Taliban-led insurgency that has killed hundreds of people in the past few months. But attacks in Sindh are relatively rare.
