Haiti rescues bring fresh glimmer of hope
The rescues of two more people from beneath the rubble in Haiti’s stricken capital 10 days after the devastating earthquake have revived fading hopes that others may have survived, officials said today.
“This has given us a lot of hope that we can find more people,” said Major Amir Ben David, the head of an Israeli search-and-rescue team which saved a 21-year-old man in Port-au-Prince yesterday.
