A Southern California man was pulled over driving a lorry containing 14 tonnes of marijuana.
Court records show 51-year-old Angel Guillen Raya of Ontario, San Bernardino County, California, pleaded guilty this week to transporting the marijuana with the intent to distribute it. He will be sentenced in April.
Raya was driving a big rig on Interstate 15 south of Temecula in August when he was stopped by police for making an unsafe lane change, The Press-Enterprise reported.
A drug-sniffing dog alerted deputies to pallets of marijuana stacked to the ceiling.
