EU development ministers to discuss Haiti crisis

Europe's governments are today holding emergency talks today to assess their contribution to the Haiti earthquake relief effort.

The meeting of EU Development ministers in Brussels will focus on how to step up the 27 nations' part in the UN-led short-term aid operation.

International Development Secretary Douglas Alexander's announcing the Government's to treble the amount of aid to Haiti more than €22m.
