Fort Hood suspect to be evaluated next month

The Fort Hood shootings suspect will be examined next month to determine his mental state that day and whether he is competent to stand trial.

Major Nidal Hasan’s lawyer, John Galligan, said a three-person board of medical professionals would begin reviewing documents in the case and an evaluation would be made after the board finished by February 7.
