Man in court after attack on Prophet row cartoonist

A Somali man appeared in court in Denmark today charged with attempting to murder the artist whose cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad outraged the Muslim world three years ago.

The 28-year-old suspect was rolled in to court on a stretcher and was remanded in custody for four weeks on preliminary charges of attempting to murder the cartoonist as well as a police officer.
