Satnav nearly sends couple to their death
An American couple nearly died following their car’s satellite navigation system when it stranded them in snowdrifts on an isolated forest road.
John Rhoads, 65, and his wife, Starry Bush-Rhoads, 67, were in Oregon heading home to Reno when in the town of Silver Lake, the GPS told them to turn right on to a forest service road, which they followed for 35 miles before getting stuck.
