Two Popes move closer to sainthood

Two former Popes are a step closer to sainthood in the Catholic Church.

The Vatican says Pope Benedict has signed decrees recognising that Pope John Paul II and Pope Pius XII lived the Christian faith heroically.

It means they are two steps away from eventual sainthood in the Church.
