Anti-Americanism may have tainted Knox verdict, says senator

A US Senator said anti-Americanism may have tainted the trial of an American college student in Italy who was found guilty of murdering her British roommate.

Amanda Knox of Seattle was sentenced to 26 years in prison after a year-long trial for the murder of Leeds University student Meredith Kercher, who was on an exchange visit to the Italian city of Perugia.
