A lawyer representing the family of murdered British student Meredith Kercher is today expected to seek millions in damages from her American roommate and an Italian co-defendant who are being tried for the killing.

The family of 21-year-old Miss Kercher has attached a civil lawsuit, to the criminal trial of Amanda Knox and her former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito.
