British lawyer to defend Karadzic at war crimes tribunal

Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has had a British lawyer appointed to represent him at the Yugoslav war crimes tribunal.

Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has had a British lawyer appointed to represent him at the Yugoslav war crimes tribunal.

The UN court said today that Richard Harvey, who has experience in The Hague representing suspects from Kosovo, will step in if Karadzic continues to boycott his trial when it resumes in March.
